Hi! I’m Terri.

I’m an adventurous and ever-curious wife, mother, and homemaker, always looking for new ways to create a warm, welcoming home. Our family is in the exciting process of transitioning from city life to building our dream homestead—Sunlight Hill Farm.

Here, I share my passion for homemade living, beekeeping, gardening, and all the little things that make a house feel like home. Whether it’s crafting, cooking, or cultivating a thriving homestead, I love learning and sharing along the way.

Join me as we embrace a simpler, more self-sufficient life—one step, one project, and one adventure at a time! 💛🐝🌻

"And into the forest I go to lose my mind and find my soul" --John Muir

I have lived in urban areas all of my life, often visiting my grandparents in the country for weekends at a time. I cherish those moments working in the garden with my grandmother, clearing brush with my grandfather, and simply taking the time to be still before I was dropped back in the hustle and bustle of daily life in the city.

I now have a little slice of forest that will eventually become my forever home[stead]. It will take a bit of work to wrap up business here in the city, but bit-by-bit the dream is becoming a reality.

I am preparing for the day by picking up new skills and fine-tuning others. Here I will be journaling the journey, sharing the successes, and laughing at the failures. I expect there will be plenty of laughs along the way!

I hope you enjoy the journey along side me, have a few laughs, and pick up a new skill or two for your own “toolbox”.

Be forever curious and remember to sit still once in a while so you can hear the wind through the trees.
